Economic Impact Analysis
Completed multi-state analysis of the economic (jobs) and fiscal (taxes) impacts associated with a national development agency's project finance portfolio. Our analysis helped the agency secure a significant new allocation of federal New Market Tax Credits.
Economic Development
Worked with a county economic development agency to secure state funding and tax exemptions to facilitate the construction of an $80mm interstate natural gas pipeline to gain utility capacities required for the county to compete for new business expansion and attraction projects.
Workforce Development
We created a custom jobs board for a county economic development agency to promote local jobs. In addition, we developed paid internship and job shadowing programs to better engage local students in learning about local career opportunities. We also formed a business/education training partnership that will provide students access to a certified manufacturing training program and local businesses access to a skilled pool of future employees.
Business Incentives
Worked with an international company to secure state and local incentives (grants as well as income and property tax incentives) to support more than $700mm of private investment related to the development of a new manufacturing facility in Ohio.
Grant Funding
We obtained an $80k federal grant for a county economic development agency to fund a port and rail infrastructure study that will allow them to better leverage their unique infrastructure assets to attract new targeted business investments.
